
A blast hit the southern Turkish city of Mersin on the Mediterranean coast Tuesday as a police vehicle passed by, the state-run Anadolu news agency reported. The private Dogan news agency said there were an unspecified number of casualties caused by the explosion, which caused panic in the city center.
