The escalating death toll in Lebanon exposes the falsehood of Zionist propaganda regarding its adherence to the ceasefire.
The Zionist enemy has renewed its brutal attacks on Lebanese territory, continuing its violations of the truce. This morning, the enemy targeted the southern town of Yaroun with two artillery shells.
In a significant escalation targeting civilians, enemy drones struck a car in the town of Al-Tiri in southern Lebanon. According to our correspondent, Hashem Al-Sayed Hassan, this attack resulted in the martyrdom of one citizen and damaged a bus carrying students. A statement from the Lebanese Ministry of Health confirmed one martyr and eleven wounded in the raid.
Furthermore, Al-Manar’s correspondent in southern Lebanon reported that shortly after midnight, the enemy carried out another attack on the town of Blida, targeting an uninhabited house. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
In a related development on Tuesday, the Israeli Air Force launched an airstrike on a car in the town of Blida. The Lebanese Ministry of Health reported that the attack killed one Lebanese citizen.
Israeli reconnaissance aircraft were also observed conducting intensive flights over numerous villages along the southern border. Al-Manar’s correspondent noted that enemy drones were constantly present, from the south all the way to the Bekaa Valley.
According to the Lebanese Ministry of Health, the final toll from the recent Israeli attacks on Lebanese territory has reached sixteen martyrs in the past few hours.
Speaker Berri: Lebanon Must Press Its Complaints
Later on Wednesday, the Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri commented on the Israeli attack that struck the town of Al-Tiri this morning, injuring several university and school students. “Once again, the Israeli enemy repeats its crime of targeting civilians, children, and students—most recently today in al-Tayri—acting as though it is above accountability and beyond any form of reckoning. Regrettably, Lebanon—despite its full commitment to Resolution 1701 and to the ceasefire agreement of November 2024—has become the party subjected to criticism and censure,” Berri stated.
“Lebanon must continue submitting complaints to the UN Security Council. Today, the Council must be called to convene an urgent session to reaffirm Lebanon’s rights and to condemn the Israeli violations, whether through targeting civilians or the annexation of land,” the Lebanese Speaker added.
