Dozens of people were martyred or injured on Tuesday night in an Israeli attack on Ain Al-Hiweh Palestinian refugee camp in the southern Lebanese city of Sidon.
Lebanese Health Ministry announced that the number of martyrs reached 13, as it said that dozens others were injured.
Al-Manar correspondent said Israeli drones struck at 21:20 on Tuesday a car parking near the Khalid bin Al-Walid Mosque in the refugee camp.
National News agency reported that three missiles were fired at the area.
Local media said that hospitals in Sidon were appealing for blood donations for those wounded in the attack.
Israeli occupation army confirmed the attack, claiming it targeted Hamas members inside the center a center inside the camp.
Israeli drones were spotted flying at low altitude over the area between Zahrani to the targeted location in Sidon.
Reactions
Commenting on the attack, Hamas Palestinian resistance group described in a statement it as a brutal attack on defenseless Palestinian people and on Lebanese sovereignty.
The movement denied Israeli claims that the targeted area was a “training complex” belonging to Hamas, stressing that such allegations are “pure fabricated and lies.”

For its part, Palestine Liberation Organization’s (PLO) factions in Sidon said targeting Ain Al-Hilweh “is part of criminal Israeli campaign to undermine stability of refugee camps.”
