Member of Hezbollah’s Loyalty to Resistance parliamentary bloc MP Hasan Ezzidine stressed that the economic and financial pressures exerted on Lebanon aimed at complementing the military and security pressures, in a bid to stifle all those who support the resistance and its path.
In a memorial service of martyr Mahmoud Merhion on his martyrdom anniversary, MP Ezzidine emphasized on Monday that such pressures won’t deter the resistance from going ahead with its approach.
“These pressures, exerted by the US, European allies, and those who are in harmony with them from within Lebanon, will make the resistance more determined. The blood of the martyrs is not cheap, but sacred, and those who offered the high sacrifices are the ones who draw the future of the nation,” the Hezbollah lawmaker said in remarks carried by Al-Manar.

He slammed the government which he said despite its commitments in the ministerial statement and the president’s inaugural speech, “has strayed from fundamental national priorities, such as halting Israeli attacks, ending the occupation of Lebanese territory, and reconstruction.”
MP Ezzidine concluded by stressing the need for the government to return to these national priorities, by working to protect the land and sovereignty, as well as to defend Lebanon by all available means, no matter how great the challenges and pressures.
