Israeli enemy forces on Monday attacked the Lebanese southern border town of Aytaroun, in a new violation of the ceasefire which ended the 2024 Israeli war on Lebanon.
Al-Manar correspondent reported that Israeli enemy forces stationed in the newly established post between Jal Al-Bat and Jal Al-Deir shelled the eastern outskirts of Aytaroun.
Israeli forces fired at least six mortar shells at the eastern outskirts of Aytaroun, our correspondent, Hashem Al-Sayyed Hasan, reported.

Homes and schools were earlier evacuated after the Lebanese Army informed Aitaroun’s municipality about a possible Israeli strike, citing information obtained by the UN peacekeeping force known as UNIFIL.
“It is clear that this enemy, through its threats to Aytaroun, wants to create confusion and terrorize the citizens, especially since the town is populated,” our correspondent said about the Israeli threat.
The Israeli enemy continues to bomb Lebanon, mainly the country’s south, almost daily and maintains occupation over five posts along the southern border, in violation of a ceasefire deal reached following a brutal 66-day Israeli war between September and November 2024.
In addition to the Israeli violations, the Lebanese State has been subjected to unprecedented pressure by the United States, the first sponsor of the Zionist entity, to disarm Hezbollah.
